Reviewers play a critical role in evaluating the quality, originality, and relevance of manuscripts. Once you accept an invitation, you can complete the process in four stages via the OJS dashboard:
Request: Confirm absence of competing interests and accept.
Guidelines: Review specific journal criteria.
Review: Access the anonymized manuscript and enter feedback.
Completion: Submit your recommendation and files.
2. Confidentiality
Manuscripts are confidential documents. To maintain integrity, reviewers must not:
- Share or discuss the manuscript without explicit authorization.
- Use unpublished information for personal research or advantage.
- Retain copies of the manuscript after completing the review.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
To ensure impartiality, our journals utilize a double-blind system where author and reviewer identities are concealed from each other.
Reviewer Tip: Ensure your uploaded files do not contain your name in "Document Properties" or file metadata to preserve anonymity.
4. Objectivity and Fairness
Reviews must be conducted professionally. Please prioritize:
- Evaluating work based solely on academic merit.
- Avoiding personal criticism of authors.
- Providing constructive, evidence-based feedback to help authors improve.
5. Timeliness
Reviewers support efficient publishing by meeting deadlines. We ask that you:
- Only accept invitations if you can meet the specified timeframe.
- Inform editors promptly if unavoidable delays arise.
6. Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence their evaluation. If a competitive or collaborative conflict exists, please decline the assignment.
7. Ethical Considerations
We adhere to COPE standards. Reviewers must report suspected misconduct, including:
Plagiarism
Identify duplicate publication or uncredited work.
Inconsistencies
Flag data fabrication or manipulation concerns.
8. Quality of Review & Recommendations
A high-quality review provides a summary, strengths, weaknesses, and a clear recommendation:
